Having problems trimming those Merkins or other crab flies into the perfect round shape? This might be a easy solution to your problem. I personally cut my crabs in a trapezoid shape but I know a lot of fly tyers strive for ultimate roundness. Farrar Blends

I recently started tying with this new synthetic hair, Farrar Blends. At first, I don't think I really liked the look of it. I wasnt into the crimped hair look but as I started tying with it the more it was growing on me.  After my first few flies, I got addicted and started tying these pilchard flies with it.  The only drawback is that is pretty expensive, about $5.95 for a small amount but it's not any more expensive than Ep Fibers.
